Chamber Takes Landmark Bus Tour 
The U.S. Chamber's Vote For Business Bandwagon tour departed Washington, DC, on August 1 for a monthlong trip to educate and register voters in a number of key states and congressional districts.
 
The U.S. Chamber's Business Civic Leadership Center (BCLC) held a seminar on July 13 to discuss best practices for disaster preparedness.
 
For the second year in a row, the U.S. Chamber has teamed up with Visa to conduct a cross-country tour to educate merchants and small businesses about credit card security issues.
 
The U.S. Chamber is urging lawmakers to periodically review regulations and eliminate those that are outdated, ineffective, and pose unnecessary obstacles for small and midsize businesses.
 
The U.S. Chamber welcomed leaders from the business community, congressional staff, and government officials at an energy summit to jump-start the discussion on the steps necessary for America to achieve energy security and help relieve high fuel costs.
 
The debate rages on. Is there a labor shortage looming, or is it a skills shortage? In truth, it doesn't matter. Regardless of the math or semantics involved, the point remains: Outstanding employees are becoming an increasingly scarce commodity.
