Chamber’s BCLC Honors Companies’ Community Commitment
 KPMG was recognized for its focus on youth and education, including employee volunteerism at community schools.
Seven organizations took top honors at the U.S. Chamber’s Business Civic Leadership Center's 9th annual Corporate Citizenship Awards Dinner on November 18 at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. The honorees are presented below by category.
Corporate Stewardship, Large Business - KPMG, for initiatives focused on education and bridging workforce readiness gaps.
Corporate Stewardship, Small/Midsize Business - Harris Corporation, for reducing its environmental footprint.
U.S. Community Service Award - Allstate and the Allstate Foundation, for their national Teen Safe Driving Program.
International Community Service Award - Coca-Cola China, for its work in the Hanfeng village in Hunan, and
Partnership Award - Eli Lilly and Company and the International Council of Nurses, for their joint efforts to combat multidrug-resistant tuberculosis.
The BCLC Corporate Citizenship Awards recognize businesses, trade associations, and chambers of commerce and their partners that have made a difference in their communities and have contributed to the advancement of important economic and social goals.
The winners were selected by a panel of distinguished leaders in the field of corporate citizenship, including Harvard University business professor Michael Porter, past winners, and BCLC’s board of directors. The Partnership Award winner was determined by online public voting.
