Disaster Help Desk Launched

The U.S. Chamber's Business Civic Leadership Center (BCLC) launched the National Disaster Help Desk for Business (888-MY-BIZ-HELP), a resource to enhance community economic recovery after a disaster.

"The Help Desk is designed to help businesses and local chambers recover from major disasters" says Stephen Jordan, BCLC executive director. "Our experts have years of experience working with local, state, and national authorities on these issues."

The Help Desk, sponsored by the Office Depot Foundation, provides on-the-ground coordination of information between businesses, local chambers, nonprofits, government, and disaster recovery specialists. It helps impacted small businesses navigate the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Small Business Administration, and other assistance programs; supplies information about recovery best practices; and provides information to those who want to support recovery efforts.

BCLC, a 501(c)3 affiliate of the Chamber, is dedicated to serving the humanitarian, philanthropic, and civic needs and aspirations of U.S. businesses. To learn more, go to www.uschamber.com/bclc.
