Josten Among Top Lobbyists, Says CEO Update

The Chamber’s top lobbyist, Bruce Josten, was featured in an article on “the most effective lobbyists in Washington” in a recent issue of CEO Update. The article profiled 12 top trade group leaders and asked for their tips for success.

“I'm a big believer in understanding and appreciating and knowing the arguments of your adversaries,” said Josten, Chamber executive vice president of government affairs. “You have to do opposition research, but you are better off and better served and smarter if you know not only the arguments you want to make but what your policy adversaries’ arguments are, because at some point you will have to address their arguments.”
