Chamber Receives Grant to Study Corporate Giving

The U.S. Chamber's Business Civic Leadership Center (BCLC) has received a grant from the Department of Commerce to conduct a first-of-its-kind study on the effects of corporate citizenship on community and economic development.

In partnership with Indiana University's Center on Philanthropy, BCLC's Corporate Community Investment program will conduct a nationwide survey and hold eight forums throughout the country. Several companies, including Accenture, Allstate Insurance Company, Capital One, CVS Caremark, Fannie Mae, JPMorgan Chase, PNC Financial Services Group, and Verizon Communications, have joined BCLC's Corporate Community Investment program and will be involved in the forums.

The first four forums will take place in Houston; Newark, N.J.; San Jose, Calif.; and St. Louis. The remainder of the forum locations will be announced in January.
